YGG Lon Las, SwanseaClient: Dawnus Construction
YGG Lon Las project was jointly funded by the Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools Programme and Swansea Council at a cost of £9.8 million. The new environment is a huge improvement compared to the old schools buildings, as now all the classrooms are under one roof and pupils can safely move around the whole school without the need to exit the building.
The split-level design has the main reception and administrative areas at the front of the school and classrooms on the top level designed in a horseshoe around a central courtyard play area. It also includes a community room which will be available for letting by arrangement with the School for local community to use.
RACS provided both Swansea Council and the appointed contractor it’s services including the layout drawings and equipment specification, supply, installation and commissioning of the commercial kitchen.
