Bro Myrddin Welsh Comprehensive School, CarmarthenshireClient: Carmarthenshire Council
In 1996 the school was moved to its purpose built campus at Croesyceiliog and in 2016 it was changed to a designated Welsh medium school called Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin.
The existing kitchen was in need of refurbishment and Carmarthenshire Council with the assistance of RACS set about upgrading their facilities. This included (amongst other things) prime cooking equipment such as two new Hobart Bonnet ovens, a Falcon Six Burner Range and Rational Comb Ovens that are energy efficient and can offer ease of cooking for the catering staff.
Installation took place over the summer period in readiness for the new term ahead and when all the catering staff returned to work, we provided a full training programme to ensure maximum benefit of the new equipment would be achieved.
