Afon Taff High School, Merthyr TydfilClient: Interserve Construction
Afon Taff High School is based in the village of Troed-y-Rhiw and services a large catchment area of surrounding villages in the Merthyr valley. As part of the 21st Century Schools Programme, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council appointed Interserve Projects Ltd to carry out the necessary upgrading, reconfiguration and refurbishment of the school buildings.
Independent of this appointment, RACS were invited to submit a kitchen layout proposal and equipment specification that would meet all objectives set by the school authority’s governing body. RACS’ proposals were accepted, they included a bespoke ‘walk-in’ cold room, dishwashing facility, food preparation areas, island cooking suite and hot / cold servery counters.
RACS, working under the umbrella and in conjunction with Interserve Projects, delivered the completed kitchen fit-out on time and within budget.
