New Black Gold Found In Ammanford

The town of Ammanford was once a thriving mining community of ‘black gold’ (anthracite coal), however the last of the local collieries was closed in 2003 which further fuelled the demise of the local economy.  In more recent years a group of locals had a plan to turn the tide for the greater benefit of their local community.  Coaltown Coffee Roasters are a speciality coffee roastery and their ambition is to ‘bring an Industry back to our hometown’.  Following several days of consultation with the owners, RACS successfully completed the installation this month of the main kitchen and servery/bar.  They now have a Roastery Canteen and Expresso Bar to be proud of.  They offer daily lunch and breakfast menus as well as provide bespoke training courses via their Coaltown Academy.
