Service & Maintenance

There are five types of maintenance a Caterer needs to consider: (i) cleaning; (ii) routine checks to detect wear and tear or damage; (iii) inspections and tests; (iv) breakdown service/maintenance; (v) planned maintenance.

Breakdown Service
Our team of experienced Gas, Electrical and Refrigeration engineers are all IEE 17th Edition and Gas Safe registered and fully trained on a wide range of equipment. They can evaluate the performance of your equipment, make necessary adjustments and can train your staff in how to keep the equipment clean to prolong its life and functionality.

In many instances, equipment fails at the most inconvenient moment. To cover against this eventuality, RACS offers emergency call outs to its customers – providing seven days a week break down service throughout the year. The service engineers assigned to this call-out service will answer calls and respond accordingly.

We aim to swiftly restore normal operations in your kitchen and minimise down-time by keeping a comprehensive supply of spare parts stocked within engineers’ vans. Where manufacturer’s spare parts are required and restoration cannot be achieved immediately, you will be kept informed of the situation at all times. We have accounts with equipment manufacturers to obtain parts the next working day, depending on availability and our engineers can also source parts through local wholesale retailers.

Maintenance
RACS may recommend a planned maintenance programme drawn up to reflect your operation. This will give you peace of mind in knowing you are always able to serve your customers because your investment is in top working order and maintained to manufacturers’ specifications.

The frequency of inspections and any necessary testing will depend on the type of equipment, how often it is used and the environment in which it is used. Our engineers can also provide full gas safety checks and gas safety soundness tests on your equipment.
