SOUTH PEMBROKESHIRE GOLF CLUB

Founded
in 1969, South Pembrokeshire Golf Club had thrived on a 9 hole course, and
a clubhouse within an old Palmerstone fort, with views across Milford
Haven. This progressive club, wanting to provide facilities suitable for a
club of such standing, have extended the course to an 18 hole championship
length of 6600 yards, and provided a brand new clubhouse.
Built on land originally used to house oil storage tanks which were bombed
by the Germans in the second world war, the clubhouse reflects their
design, being based around a circular entrance area.
In line with their philosophy of providing only the best for their members
and guests, South Pembrokeshire Golf Club provided within the clubhouse a
kitchen servicing a 50 cover restaurant, an attractive bar and a cooled
cellar. The views across Milford Haven, from the course as well as the
restaurant are spectacular. |

The kitchen includes a wide range
of equipment, installed so as to maximise the effectiveness of the
facilities. Two deep fryers, microwaves, cookers, fridges and freezers,
hot cupboard, dish washers, tables and shelving are all included in the
kitchen. The cellar has an electric cooling system and the bar boasts
bottle coolers and a glass washer. Extractor canopies, fly killers,
cutlery, tills, the list of equipment supplied as part of this
installation is endless.
This modern kitchen now complements
a modern building, providing catering facilities which are the envy of
clubs in the vicinity. |

The kitchen was designed,
supplied and installed by RACS, including all ancillaries, right down to
the cutlery and crockery. While being of reasonable length, some 8.1
metres, the kitchen is only 2.4 metres wide. The positioning of equipment
was critical to ensuring that the most ergonomic work flow is encouraged.
